Today, I just realized I've been released of the army for almost a year now....time passes fast when you're busy!

Should have some kind of anniversary. What do you think should I call that day?

Results are out today! And I Aced 4 out 5 subjects!!!   I've not done exams in a while but I was reminded just how awesome I can sometimes be. Humble level : 0%

And as for the subject I didn't get an A for....B so...not...cool...

I hope I don't have to do another academic exam for a while, I'm not very good at such things...

I'm a sucker for cute little things. I know its girly but I don't really care much about what others think about me.

Today, I found the cutest Emoticon...EVER!!! Its almost over-powering! Its inconcivable cuteness over-shadowed all other Emoticons on the page I found this.
Just look at it, its so cute its almost painful to see!

[link] I found this video of the late great grandmaster, Ip man (yè wèn 叶问)aka. Bruce Lee's tutor. Showcasing one of his last Wing Chun instructional videoes before passing away from throat cancer.

My heart broke when I saw a noble man as he in such a thin and sickly state. I hope his passing wasn't painful. Rest in peace, Master Ip.

Anyways my brother's godfather has been practicing Wing Chun for about a year and a half now, and according to him it has some superb healing properties. I think I'll learn it, and see if it can heal my knee injury that I got over 2 years ago.

I am likely to leave Singapore for the UK sometime during the end of this year or early next year. I going to study there for a while, but before I can do so, I need to re-take my English exams!
Truth be told, I'm pretty confident but I can't help feeling a little afraid.

I feel so uncomfortable, and helpless. I can't do anything about this... can't even change my avatar.... I'M ALMOST NEVER HELPLESS! aaaaand I am today. epic sadness.... why couldn't they have given me a more badass avatar..... like...like toothless!!

Today I watched a documentary about how scientists breed animals with human guts to farm replacement human organs like livers, kidneys, ears, fingers bla bla yada yada. And the first thing that came to my mind was Stalin and his attempt to created an army of "anthro soldiers" during WW2, inhuman, blood thirsty, hairy soldiers with the claws, fangs, survival instinct and human intelligence....Imagine this technology getting into the hands of someone like Stalin, he breeds an army anthro soldiers and succeeds this time... As if war wasn't deadly and depressing enough without super-soldiers!!

Things don't often end well when man plays god and tries to create another race.

ahhh.... I brought my wacom tablet home to paint over the weekend. What a feeling I miss, painting at home. Its comforting. Though, after having used photoshop everyday for so long, I seem to be having a hard time reacquainting myself with good old Corel-Painter. But at least I can get some of my own work done for a change. And post things up here of course, might take a while but it'll happen.

Ever wondered why the ladies love Ezio and Altiar from the Assassin's Creed series but don't pay much interest in Kratos from God of War?
Well I've been pondering about that lately. Ezio, Altiar and Kratos aren't that different are they? I mean they all kill people and they're all game characters with seemingly super human strength.

Of course Kratos' methods are *ahem* different. But seriously why would women not love a muscular, super strong, blood crazed, obsessively violent man who decapitates his enemies with his bare hands right after disemboweling them?

I don't get it.

Happy Lunar New Year Everybody!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The moon is full and bright, which signifies the beginning of a new year!!! Well...lunar new year that is...

But sometimes like yesterday the moon was so bright, it kept me awake late into the night, glaring into her cold, white stare. A stare so strong it hurts my eyes and leaves my yawning the following morning...

And believe it or not when I was little, I used to be scared of the Lunar New Year and the Moon Cake Festival because my relatives would joke. "The moon is full!! WereWolves are coming!!" And I would take it seriously and run to hide in my room. HAHAHAHAHA!! I must admit, I was a cute kid.

I still think werewolves are scary but their awesomeness overpowers their scariness.

Today I was walking in Sembawang. (one of Singapore's many hills, when I stumbled across...wild boar tracks!!! Scary! I'm not an expert in tracking animals, but I think there were at least 5 of them.

People started telling me all sort of things. Some said I should continue tracking them down and enjoy the hunt. Others said I should call the up the exterminator guys or the police. I say "leave them alone, since they've not hurt anyone."

However, wild boars are dangerous. But I have no authority to do anything really.

1. In Singapore we call older men we don't know "uncle" as a respectful way to call them or greet them...I was once called uncle by a women probably in her late 40s....

2. I like old time computer games from the 90s more than the new next-gen graphics games.

3. I find watching Teletubbies and listening to the most diabolical and evil hardcore rock song I can find at the same time is quite relaxing after a hard days work.

4. I'm kid at heart when it come to food, I'll eat aynthing. I ate small plate full of raw solidified blood cubes my friends and I found in a foriegn foods convention. Not bad actually.

5. I'm 22 and I secretly play with my childhood teddy bears.

6. I think being insane can be a glamorous thing. It just needs to percieved in a different way.

7. I'm actually very bad at drawing portrait. Notice how I covered up most of my face on my deviant IDs with all the hair, arms and props? Its actually because I can't draw it.

8. I've always wanted to see real snow!

Life is getting hard. Work is taking up time. And spending those precious moments here with my DA buddies and watchers, reading journals and commenting and answering replies, is getting increasingly impossible with each passing week...

Will there come a day when I am force to abandon Durianssmellnice? I hope not. I've learnt so much here...I hope never to leave...

Asianfiles... Sure they're alittle annoying. However, do they deserve to be downtrottened like that? Personally I think it's way too harsh for them to see such things, I may not like them too much, but I still think people treat them unfairly, let them do what they want! ... What do you think?

End of week 1 of anatomy study...
I'll post up two more studies...I think I've improved. No time to write anything else...

Today my boss/ fellow artist/ mentor/ office buddy admitted he forgot the colour wheel, and forgot all his complimentry colours and opposing colours and all!! And he can paint such beautiful works of art without referring to a mental colour wheel!! Painting without knowing your colours inside-out is like driving a race car blindfolded...for me at least...

He must know a secret technique of some sort... I must know this technique!!!!!!!!!!

My study has reached its fifth day... And I'm not trying to boast other anything. But I'm pretty amazed at how much I've improved! In less than a week of practise, I can draw figures in poses and angles I never though I'd ever be able to draw! I just poured my heart and soul out in study and I took 5 days to learn what I thought would take me a month....or more!! This ... is ... so ... AWESOME!!!!
